New Work Presented at ICLR 2026 AI4Mat Workshop
Our work “MatSeek: An Automated Knowledge-Driven Framework for Materials Research” has been presented at the AI4Mat Workshop at ICLR 2026. This work introduces an LLM-based framework that integrates literature-driven knowledge extraction with structured materials data to enable interpretable and efficient inverse alloy design.

Our latest work “MATAI: A Generalist Machine Learning Framework for Property Prediction and Inverse Design of Advanced Alloys” is now available on arXiv. This work presents a generalist ML framework integrating a curated alloy database, deep neural network predictors, constraint-aware optimization, and an iterative AI–experiment feedback loop for accelerated alloy development.

I delivered an invited talk titled “Accelerating Materials Synthesis through AI: From Feasibility to Autonomy” at the AI for Materials Science Forum, part of the 18th Pujiang Innovation Forum in Shanghai. It was a great opportunity to share our vision for autonomous materials discovery with leading researchers and policymakers.

I was honored to be selected as one of the AI2050 Early Career Fellows by Schmidt Sciences.
I’m the only Fellow from an Asian institution in the 2024 cohort and the first-ever recipient from NTU to receive this prestigious fellowship.
As one of 25 global scholars advancing AI for the benefit of humanity, I’ll join a distinguished group of researchers awarded up to US$12 million to pursue bold visions for a better future by 2050.
